The platform targets the large and growing amateur sports market. It can be licensed to bars, community centers, and corporations for a recurring fee, with additional revenue from player-centric features and sponsorships.
Dart Duel* is a comprehensive platform for creating and operating dart leagues. It automates player bracketing, provides a simple interface for score entry, and displays real-time leaderboard and game status updates.
Development Process
The vision for Dart Duel* was born out of firsthand frustration. We used an agile, iterative process, working in sprints to tackle the core technical challenges. An intelligent bracketing algorithm was designed first, and its logic was validated with a group of beta testers running mock tournaments. This feedback loop was critical to ensuring the system was fair and accurate.
The intuitive digital scorecard was built with React and Next.js, allowing for rapid development of the user interface. Our real-time backend is powered by Node.js and a secure, scalable cloud ecosystem. As scores are submitted, they are written to a secure NoSQL database, which instantly triggers updates to all connected clients via WebSockets. Player stats and media are stored in enterprise-grade cloud storage. This robust, scalable architecture transforms a simple game into a full-fledged, data-rich competitive experience.
